One word, so little time.

ONEword

I found this site using the Stumble feature you can add to Mozilla Firefox.

They give you a word and 60 seconds to write about it.

Today's word is retrospect. Here's my entry:
in retrospect. what it was like before. what could I have done. How could I have made things better. How can I learn from my past. mostly mistakes. nobody says anything in retrospect about anything that was done greatly.

Keep Track of Everything

How do you do it?

I have a little two year - monthly/weekly calendar planner thing I keep in my purse. But somehow I have little things get-togethers that I can't seem to remember.

Everybody has a story

Six months to a year ago or so, there was a guy on the CBS evening news program who was sharing peoples stories. He would simply find a place on the map and getting out the area's phone book, he would close his eyes and with a whirl of his hand he would randomly select a person. A person whose story he would root out and tell.

Many people want to appear modest: I'm just a lowly homemaker, student, or hardworking dad.

...to be continued later.

Write your own formula

Well, that's what the prompt said. But what they meant is to come up with like a blog schedule. Or how much or how often do you forsee yourself blogging.

So, I need to come up with a number of words or sentences maybe. Or maybe what I really need is to figure out what I should write.

Would it be too wierd for others if I wrote like "morning pages" here. That's writing just simply writing. Don't bother about punctuation or grammar or that anything makes sense. Just write to get something down on the page.

I do that best on the computer if I change the font to white, so I can't even see what I'm writing. Then later, I go back and change the font color back to black.

Singing Inside My Head

Sometimes when I go about my day doing things, chores, and going places (unless I'm at home by myself) I sing to myself, in my head.

Many times I make up a little tune, not randomly, but sort of out of nowhere. Sometimes I come up with little lyrics that go with my mini-tune.

Last week I was singing:
I like to hide inside myself
where no one else can see
it's very comforting

I don't think I was sad or depressed, that's just what I got.
