News anchors - can they be "cleaned up"?
I've been pushing this idea around in my mind for a while.
My thinking is when a person takes a college course and a paper is to be written, it is expected that all grammar should be correct and will not include any slang or clichés.
Before anyone becomes a news anchor that person goes through school. It's probably the same process for people going into the media as in any other area, being that they get a degree. Anyway, since I don't know, my guess is that college is where people learn to talk like an anchor. People don't talk that way normally.
And so, back to my querry, "Can news anchors be 'cleaned up'?"
My answer is: why not?

Project progress
I have created my hair for my collage.
This morning I finished making a template for my shoulders and eventually I'll make a shirt with a white PeterPan collar. I went to Wall-Mart later this morning because I wasn't satisfied with using any of the fabrics we already have(my mom and I like to quilt and have a modest stash of fabrics) ....for the background of my collage or for my shirt.
My Art Appreciation class is at 3:30 and when I get home at 5:00 or so I plan to cut out the fabrics for my shirt and collar. Then I will bind the edges of each piece. Once I've done that, I may be ready to either lay down my background or create the skin of my face.
If I work enough today, I may be able to finish my collage tomorrow. It's due Tuesday.

Where I've been
I've been with blogger for a very long time.
Most recently I was posting at lilmar.blogspot.com (I have some pictures of Frisky and Curious in my archives at September '04 and July '05) and before that I was at littlemo0n.blogspot.com. Although I began hosting littlemo0n at my angelfire website. Later, I decided to have blogspot host it, but was unable to make the connection work...and in that process I fumbled up some programming or communication somewhere and was unable to post anymore. That's when I created lilmar.blogspot.
I continued to fidgit with littlemo0n.blogspot.com and eventually got it to work.
