What'd ya get for Christmas?
Well, I didn't get a lot.
But that's more because I've been doing some window shopping and looking at reviews of PDAs or PocketPCs with GPS capabilities or GPS systems with PDA/PocketPC capabilities.
From the product reviews I found online and what was available here, in San Diego, I opted to buy the Pharos GPS 525.
It's one of the smallest GPS systems out there.
My other presents were a silver kitty ring holder and an assortment of different flavored hot chocolate mixes. And a Dove Christmas tree ornament.

I give up.
Besides getting a tan just doesn’t seem to be that important to me anyway.

To find out what the *bleep* I'm talking about, here's a really good website on Soul Collage, Kaliedosoul.com

New Diet
I'm going to start a new diet this week.
It's geared towards people who have AD/HD. Although it doesn't really have a name.
Basically, for the first 30 days eliminate milk, eggs, wheat, corn, chocolate, oranges, sugar(including artificial sweeteners).
All vegetables and fruit(excluding oranges) are allowed.
I'm still reading the book, so I don't have all the details yet.

Summer School?
I'm really not sure what to take because I don't do well in the abbreviated version of some courses.
I may take History 100. That's Ancient History or something like that.
I've got a list of courses that I can take at my college that will transfer to SDSU. The courses that I have left to take are ones like psychologry, chemistry, biology, geology, etc.

Lost key.....Found key
This is my second week working at TierraSanta Elementary school.
But somehow, a little before recess, I noticed that the security key to my Miata was missing. After school was out for the day, I pushed the seats forward and pushed them back, looking in front and bed hind and finally under the seats. But I couldn't find the key. I looked under the car. I dumped out my purse, and then went back to the classroom I'm helping out in. I still couldn't find it.
The teacher of the 3rd grade class I'm helping out in was still there and she was able to drive me home, just a few blocks away.
Just a few minutes ago I did a total car search...except for the trunk and glove box. I found two quarters and a bead I had just lost from a belt. And I found my key wedged on the inside of the seat tracks, I wouldn't have seen it if I hadn't have happened to have a flashlight with me and on.

One word, so little time.
ONEword
I found this site using the Stumble feature you can add to Mozilla Firefox.
They give you a word and 60 seconds to write about it.
Today's word is retrospect. Here's my entry:

in retrospect. what it was like before. what could I have done. How could I have made things better. How can I learn from my past. mostly mistakes. nobody says anything in retrospect about anything that was done greatly.

Keep Track of Everything
How do you do it?
I have a little two year - monthly/weekly calendar planner thing I keep in my purse. But somehow I have little things get-togethers that I can't seem to remember.

Everybody has a story
Six months to a year ago or so, there was a guy on the CBS evening news program who was sharing peoples stories. He would simply find a place on the map and getting out the area's phone book, he would close his eyes and with a whirl of his hand he would randomly select a person. A person whose story he would root out and tell.
Many people want to appear modest: I'm just a lowly homemaker, student, or hardworking dad.
...to be continued later.

Write your own formula
Well, that's what the prompt said. But what they meant is to come up with like a blog schedule. Or how much or how often do you forsee yourself blogging.
So, I need to come up with a number of words or sentences maybe. Or maybe what I really need is to figure out what I should write.
Would it be too wierd for others if I wrote like "morning pages" here. That's writing just simply writing. Don't bother about punctuation or grammar or that anything makes sense. Just write to get something down on the page.
I do that best on the computer if I change the font to white, so I can't even see what I'm writing. Then later, I go back and change the font color back to black.

Singing Inside My Head
Sometimes when I go about my day doing things, chores, and going places (unless I'm at home by myself) I sing to myself, in my head.
Many times I make up a little tune, not randomly, but sort of out of nowhere. Sometimes I come up with little lyrics that go with my mini-tune.
Last week I was singing:
I don't think I was sad or depressed, that's just what I got.

I like to hide inside myself
where no one else can see
it's very comforting

News anchors - can they be "cleaned up"?
I've been pushing this idea around in my mind for a while.
My thinking is when a person takes a college course and a paper is to be written, it is expected that all grammar should be correct and will not include any slang or clichés.
Before anyone becomes a news anchor that person goes through school. It's probably the same process for people going into the media as in any other area, being that they get a degree. Anyway, since I don't know, my guess is that college is where people learn to talk like an anchor. People don't talk that way normally.
And so, back to my querry, "Can news anchors be 'cleaned up'?"
My answer is: why not?

Project progress
I have created my hair for my collage.
This morning I finished making a template for my shoulders and eventually I'll make a shirt with a white PeterPan collar. I went to Wall-Mart later this morning because I wasn't satisfied with using any of the fabrics we already have(my mom and I like to quilt and have a modest stash of fabrics) ....for the background of my collage or for my shirt.
My Art Appreciation class is at 3:30 and when I get home at 5:00 or so I plan to cut out the fabrics for my shirt and collar. Then I will bind the edges of each piece. Once I've done that, I may be ready to either lay down my background or create the skin of my face.
If I work enough today, I may be able to finish my collage tomorrow. It's due Tuesday.

Where I've been
I've been with blogger for a very long time.
Most recently I was posting at lilmar.blogspot.com (I have some pictures of Frisky and Curious in my archives at September '04 and July '05) and before that I was at littlemo0n.blogspot.com. Although I began hosting littlemo0n at my angelfire website. Later, I decided to have blogspot host it, but was unable to make the connection work...and in that process I fumbled up some programming or communication somewhere and was unable to post anymore. That's when I created lilmar.blogspot.
I continued to fidgit with littlemo0n.blogspot.com and eventually got it to work.
